Choosing a Story Viewpoint... Which one ?

What Viewpoint  Do You Use In Novel Writing ?

When you construct you novel, naturally you choose a viewpoint to tell your story through.   How do you decide if the story will be told in first person, or multiple viewpoints?  Do you want your readers to only see your story through the eyes of one character?  Or do you want the reader to be able to shift from one characters eyes to the next... to be able to see, and hear, what the other characters are thinking, and feeling?
Like to know your technique in choosing your story's viewpoint !
